Privacy Policy
Healthcare Partner (HCP) — the HCP app and healthcarepartner.in
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Healthcare Partner ("HCP", "we") keeps about members and their families, why we keep it, who it is shared with, and how you can see, correct or delete it. It covers the HCP mobile app and the HCP website at healthcarepartner.in.
1. What we keep
- Your account: your name, mobile number, date of birth, gender, address (state, district, mandal, village, town), your member ID, and the dates and status of your membership. Your mobile number is how you sign in, with a one-time password sent by SMS.
- Your family: the name, relation, date of birth and gender of each family member you add to your health card.
- Your photo: a profile photo, only if you add one. We store it as a small square image and remove the location and other details a phone camera attaches.
- Hospital bookings and visits: the appointments you book (hospital, department, patient, date, time and the reason you give), and the visits partner hospitals record for you, with the bill amount and the discount you received.
- Hospital admission support requests: if you ask HCP for admission support, the hospital, admission and discharge times, the reason for admission, whether it followed an accident or an illness you had before joining, and the documents you upload (such as the admission slip, discharge summary, hospital bill and ID proof).
- Bank details: the bank account or UPI ID you give us so that approved admission support can be paid to you.
- Insurance records: the details of the life and accident cover arranged through your membership (insurer, policy numbers, cover amount, validity and nominee) and the policy documents, kept so that you can always see them.
- Payments: the amount and date of membership payments. Card, UPI and bank details for those payments are entered with our payment provider, Razorpay, not with us.
- Notifications: a notification address for your phone, issued to the app by Google's Firebase service, so that we can send you HCP's own notices. We remove it when you sign out of the app.
- Sign-in records: when you sign in, from which network address, and whether it was the app or which browser, so that we can spot misuse of your account.
The app does not use your location, contacts or advertising identifiers, and it does not show advertisements.
2. Why we keep it
- To run your membership: sign you in, show your health card and your family on it, and tell you when your membership needs attention.
- To arrange your care: book appointments with partner hospitals and let them confirm your membership, and record the discounts you receive.
- To consider and pay hospital admission support requests.
- To show you your insurance cover and its documents.
- To notify you when a booking is confirmed or cancelled, and of HCP announcements. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
- To keep accounts, meet legal and tax requirements, and prevent fraud.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share only what each of these needs:
- Partner hospitals see your name, member ID, the patient's details and the booking or visit concerned, so that they can confirm your membership and give you the agreed discount.
- Network Partner (network.healthcarepartner.in), our sister platform where many members join and pay, exchanges your membership details with HCP so that both show the same membership.
- Insurers (such as LIC and ICICI Lombard) receive the details needed to issue the cover that comes with your membership.
- Service providers that work for us: MSG91 sends our SMS messages, Google Firebase delivers the app's notifications, Razorpay processes payments, and our hosting provider runs the servers the app and website use.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
- HCP staff and the agent or area office you joined through see your membership details to help you; only authorised HCP staff see admission support documents.
4. How we protect it
Everything between the app or your browser and our servers travels encrypted (HTTPS). You sign in with a one-time password sent to your own phone. Hospital and insurance documents are kept in private storage that is only served to you and to authorised staff, and every opening of an admission support document is logged. On your phone, the app keeps your sign-in and a copy of your health card in the phone's secure storage, and removes them when you sign out.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your membership is active and for as long afterwards as we need to answer questions about past visits, payments, support requests or insurance claims, and to meet legal and tax requirements. After that it is deleted.
6. Seeing, correcting and deleting your information
- You can see your details, family, bookings, visits, insurance and support requests in the app at any time, and add or change some of them there.
- To correct anything you cannot change yourself, contact us (below).
- To delete your account, write to support@healthcarepartner.in or call +91 77805 06670 from your registered mobile number. We will confirm it is you, close your account and delete your information, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records) or to settle a claim already made.
7. Children
Membership is taken by adults. A member may add their children to their health card; the member gives us their details on the child's behalf.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
